1. Create Your Account
Sign up at upwatch.dev/register with your email and a password. You'll be taken straight to the dashboard.
2. Add Your First Monitor
Click "Add Monitor" in the dashboard. Enter a name and URL — that's all you need. Advanced settings like check interval, HTTP method, custom headers, and tags are optional.
3. Get Notified
When a monitor goes down (after 3 consecutive failures), Upwatch sends alerts via your configured webhooks. Set up Slack or generic webhook URLs in Settings.
Tip: Upwatch automatically detects recovery and sends an "all clear" notification when the service comes back up.
4. Share Your Status Page
Every account gets a public status page at /status/your-slug. Share it with your team or customers so they can check system health without needing an account.
5. API Access
Everything in the dashboard is also available via the REST API. Authenticate with your JWT token (from login) or set up an API key.
